Free Mind - Staff Support for Businesses

Drop in service for businesses

Mind Wellbeing (Free Mind) Drop-in Hub for staff. These sessions are created to promote a positive balance within the mind which helps with Stress and Anxiety.
Experience has shown me that poor mental health within the workplace generally relates to the mind space of an individual not necessarily the company or organisation.

The welfare of your staff could have a dramatic effect on productivity, with mental health in general on the rise it would benefit you greatly to incorporate my service into your staff welfare program.

Impact of moments of poor mental health on Businesses

As well as mental health having an impact on an individual and their performance at work, there is also an impact on the business and on industry itself.
One of the main ways in which businesses and their industries are affected is financially, as it costs them if their employees are not performing their roles to their full potential and failing to complete their work if they are taking time off. It is estimated that the annual cost of ill mental health to UK employers is around 25.9 billion.
Depression costs businesses around £8 billion in lost productivity each year in England
Schizophrenia costs £3.4 billion
Bipolar costs £1.8 billion
Combined this comes to £13.2 billion in lost productivity, and this is before taking into consideration conditions such as anxiety which affect more people worldwide than schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and therefore is likely to cost even more.
A quarter of the population will suffer from anxiety at some time in their lives - even more than those affected by depression. It is the major reason for absence from work.
Staff will turn up late or be absent more as they may be experiencing poor mental health.
